TO MAKE A COMPARISON REGARDING DERBY ENTRIES,I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE AN ANOLOGY WHICH I KNOW I WILL BE CRITCIZED FOR DOING SO..>>>
LIKE DIFFERENT BRANDS OF WHISKEYS THEY ARE PUT ON DIFFERENT SHELVES..."SEGRAMS 7" I THINK GOES ON THE 3RD SHELF FROM THE TOP..
"SEAGRAMS VO" GOES ON THE 2ND SHELF FROM THE TOP
AND "CROWN ROYAL" GOES ON THE TOP SHELF..IN MOST UPSCALE BARS ETC
I THINK THE ABOVE STATEMENT IS FAIR TO SAY!!!
REGARDING THE KENTUCKY DEBY..THIS IS MY OWN OPINION..
"BIG BROWN" & "PYRO" ARE ON THE TOP SHELF ALONE & THE REST OF THEM ARE ON THE 2ND,THIRD & 4TH SHELVES..JUST THE LIKE OLD SAYINGS..EAST IS EAST & WEST IS WEST & NEVER SHALL THE TWIN MEET!!! WELL U ALL KNOW WHAT I MEAN..hh) hh)

I certainly agree with that assessment, Delta.
For those who say that War Pass (if he is rested enough for the Derby), and one or two others with early speed, are going to burn Big Brown out,
I figure that's not an issue at all.
Desormeaux will be able to stalk fairly close-up with this horse, and come the eighth pole, he should draw off.
Pyro, though, is a danger. He just keeps running. May be too far back this
time, though. And if he gets blocked once or twice, which is very possible,
he won't be able to get close enough to Brown.
The lack of experience of this horse doesn't hinder his raw ability.
He is just plain powerful, and his rider ought to be able to push the button
when he wants, which shouldn't be before a half mile from home.
Those two horses do stand out from a class standpoint. The likes of
Colonel John, or Tale of Ekati, just don't have the same acceleration.
It all adds up to a very interesting first Saturday in May!

I'm holding all opinions on Big Brown until I see how his workout pattern is coming up to the race. If there are any unusual gaps, I will consider that he's having trouble with those brittle hoofs. Point Given had the same problem.

Scottsdad - KEE is not CD. I also saw some other unusually fast workouts posted for other contenders. If they are going to keep him @ KEE all the way up to the Derby, I'll TOSS HIM(Especially if CD gets no rain up to race day).

Good to see Pyro get a little love. Really like him, not sure why just always have since he came on the scene. If the races were only a mile War Pas would probably do really well. Like Big Brown also, What can Brown Do for you today??rofl rofl rofl Sorry, feeling a little mischievious today for some reason.
