(1) Horses racing thier second race after participating in a qualifying race.
(2) Horses that won big ( by several open lenghts) two starts ago.
(3) Horses recently claimed.
(4) Trip notes... they do have troubled trips....

At Meadowlands, all changes of equipment of any kind are
announced, Most other harness tracks never tell the public
about equipment changes. Is it maybe a NJ law, or because
it is a high rated track?

when you say a good bet is a horse off a claim I always check to make sure they were claimed by a better trainer
