This was something that hit me while watching NFL Primetime. With the recent Hall of Fame vote in and Goose Gossage being selected (long overdue, so is Jim Rice who deserves it), a weird thought hit me. How about Chris Berman for the NFL Hall-of-Fame???

He was a sports news pioneer with his energy and creativity (kevin "widemouth"/"smallmouth" bass)... he really introduced sports and especially the NFL to many of us, including myself. When I was a kid, my friends and I laughed and talked about the nicknames he came up with. He was as must of an ambassador to the NFL as anyone has ever been. If other media (mainly print media) members can get in, why can't television??? Like it or not TV media is where most people today get their news.. and he was not just a talking head, but an original for sports.

Just wondering if any of you agree... Its not really important and he probably will never be mentioned for the Hall, but I thought it might be fun to talk about.

Chris Berman is in the American Football League Hall of Fame. I guess because, like the AFL, Chris is different. Both have/had a unique style and dared to be different, taking on the establishment. The public loved the show that both the AFL and Chris Berman put on for us.

didnt know that, lol... the hall-of-fame to me is kinda overblown and silly to even discuss it, but berman should be considered. also, i think berman is washed up now and years past old form, but what he did early in his career has signifigance.
