I was reading the Daily Racings Form article on Dean Renzo and Randy Hartley who sold this colt for 16 mill. These two have been a yearling to juvenile reselling team since 1992. Basically they finally hit a BIG ONE. This Colt worked out at Calder Race Track at the Fasig Tipton, working the fastest furlong, in 9 and 4/5ths seconds!! in a breeze. There is 660 ft. in a furlong, that is incredible. Also another part of Forsetry's Sons incredible work out was his stride or (length). It was an ASTONISHING 25 1/2 FEET and FLYING in speeds of more than 45 Miles Per Hour. I hope this Horse can stay HEALTHY and maybe we will see him at the BREEDERS CUP 2007 at Monmouth Race Track. An Avid Race Goer At Monmouth Race Track.

This horse is apparently by Vindication who was Derby bound as a two year old,,,Misfortune forced him into early retirement ..If this horse is anything to its breeding the smart thing is to see how far he can go with wins then to the breeding shed my early estimates are $350,000.00 per live foal

they paid $16 million for this horse and named him 'the green monkey'. i just think that's sad.

You pay 16 million you can call him anything that the rules allow. Why is it sad? Maybe this will start a whole line of great Monkey horses? Personally, I like it. Why do we have to have time honored, blue blood names. This sport is supposed to be fun? Would it be better if the Arabs bought it and name it some undecipherable set of syllables?

my names for horses (if i ever own) will be lines or names of songs I like. Some NY owners stoled my "Dontfearthereaper" name. I can't believe they beat me to it!!! I've been holding that one for 5 years. I also like "babygotback"..lol..

I had a horse named "Get Down On It." Used to run in PA and NJ back in the early 90's I think. Those rock and roll roots should wake up that tune.

For anyone interested, the DRF & Brisnet
have this horse's name now available on stable alerts.
You get email notices whenever The Green Monkey
works out or eventually is entered into a race in the
future. Good luck....
