Delta you are far wiser than me and been around horses double my age, but I feel LIKE A WINNER TODAY. Again I thought Robby A gave Curlin an absolute horrible ride. My father-in-law and I were watching the race and we could not believe he allowed him to almost lose this race, he had "ALOT of HORSE" and I think he made him work to hard; your thoughts?

You Are 100% Right....robby Belongs At The Following Tracks
Ld,retama, remington, lonestar, fairgrounds.delta, and Maybe Churchill.there Are 4 Partners In The Ownership Of Which 2 Are Majority.there Are 2 Many Fingers In The Pie..if We Owned Him 100% Either Garrett Or Kent Or Someone With Experience In This Kind Of Races Would Be On Him..this Guy Is An Accident Waiting To Happen

Did we watch the same race? Curlin would not have been able to get by a Lawyer Ron as we'd all seen him in his last few races.

So, this was cat and mouse at its best. Less than a month to the one they all want to win. Lawyer Ron either just 'did not have it' in the JGC, or was trying to win as easily as horse and rider could get by.

Please, this was a big race, but even bigger fish to fry just down the road.

My guess, today, Monday, Oct 1, 2007, they'll never get by Lawyer Ron in a million years in the next one.

ps and so, Robbie's ride was not all that bad, if you look at the race like I looked at it! hint....he did win, n'est ca pas?

A: Robbie A is not an upper echelon rider

B: LAWYER RON WAS RANK FOR A GOOD PART OF THE RACE

C: Ron will be better around two turns

D: Curlin is still a major factor in the Breeders Cup

Delta....

Curlin was great!!!! Fantastic finish, and I think he is still running. I think he might be a fairly decent 'mudder'.

AFTER CHECKING THE TRACK RECORDS AT MONMOUTH FOR A 1:1/4....IN 1962 "CARRY BACK " WON THE MONMOUTH HANDICAP BEATING "KELSO" BY 3 LENGHTS & THE GREAT "BEAU PURPLE" & 3 OTHER TOP STAKE HORSES ON A VERY FAST DRY TRACK IN 2:00 3/5...."CURLIN" DID IT IN 2:00 4/5 ON A MESSY TRACK & RAN THE LAST 1/4 IN 24 3/5 WHERE "CARRY BACK" RAN HIS LAST 1/4 IN A SLOWER 25 3/5 ON A FAST FAST TRACK..I STILL THINK IF WE HAD "GARRETT" IN THE BEGINING,CURLIN MIGHT HAVE WON THE TRIPLE CROWN..WE INSTEAD GOT A RIDER THAT HAD ON THE JOB TRAINING ..OH WELL THATS THE GAME TODAY..IT WOULD'NT HAPPEN IN THE YESTERYEAR.tro( bh)

yeah great point.... i mean, street sense only beat him by what, 8 lengths in the derby?? yeah, i would say garrett is 8 LENGTHS better than albarado...rofl
i guess robby got outgamed in the belmont by rags to riches, not curlin... rofl

i understand your fetish with gomez, he is a great rider, but jose calo wouldve won yesterday on Indian Blessing and Midnight Lute, when horses when races like the Breeders Cup Juvenile and Sprint by more than 5 lengths its not because the rider....

I had that coming, lay it on me. That was my opinion after their last encounter, based on a far different Lawyer Ron that we saw yesterday. Congratulations to all who scored some$, personally, I did poorly, but will look forward to the next one.

Anybody else think the day was a bit marred by the off conditions though?
A very nice horse had to be put down too, sadly.
