View Full Version : Simulcast TV Angle
This is kind of funny,I do not do this but have seen it done...You have an array of TV sets from all over the country...All of a sudden certain numbers seem to be hitting at the same time...Some people see it and play it and by God they win......

Weird things happen sometimes. I once hit an $800-something tri at Calder because I played the wrong track. I thought I was playing Churchill and went to the machine and punched out a straight tri and walked away, Okie-dokie. I look up at Church and they're going off. I look at my ticket and it says "Calder." Crap. Three horses cross at CRC boom-----boooom-----booooom, about five lengths apart, like in a movie. I'm cursing myself because I threw money away on a race I never even looked at and it hits on the "wrong" track and I have it pegged because I bet the "wrong" track. I have the tri at Calder, and picked it stone blind. Plus I must have JUST gotten it in before the bell. I looked up and they're all 10 or 15-1. The most beautiful word in the English language that day was "Official." I had just gotten there to the OTB about 15 minutes beforehand and planned to spend a few hours. Let me tell ya, I cashed and ran outta there like the place was on fire.
Anybody can make a mistake, but luckily I never LOST a big one in the same way and I wasn't about to give it back. You're right about the weird way the combinations fall on different tracks on simulcast. It's startling sometimes. Bingo ladies at the OTB could set themselves up for a year on days like that when they happen playing kids' birthdays and stuff.
