I know from the disclaimers at the bottom that this forum is a different version than the other one. Also, the Copyright owner is the same so they can allow this one And the other one to use the same format if they want.
Personally I am glad to see as much participation in handicapping interchange on the iternet as possible!
It already looks like this forum's members have some different interests and that is good for handicapping! I like the seperate forum on here for "for sale" ideas !

Hey, I had a forum in 1996 "Cherokee River Ranch" ..used this same company or the one before them..I'm not sure..If anything I was copied.

FYI, the logo above with the #7 horse was actually a win I had at GulfStream Park in 1996. The camera guy took the picture a fraction of a second too soon as my horse nosed out the others. Look closely..there are actually THREE horses in that picture. Interesting I think.

Yes, it is true that we use the same software (vBulletin w/ vBadvanced) for our forums as PA does. The sites have similar looking home pages (news, polls, etc.) because of this. It is simply the default way that the software lays all of the features out on the page.

And we actually DO use a different version of the software. PA uses vBadvanced CMPS ver. 1.0.0 and vBulletin ver. 3.0.5. We use vBadvanced CMPS ver. 2.0.0 and vBulletin ver. 3.5.3.

So if anything, I would say that our site is fresher with a more robust list of features. :p

Ron,

Good to know I have an old friend back. How have things been since 1997?

Last year I divided up the Ranch and sold it in 25 acres small ranches. Joe Mc Allister happened along and bought two of the parcels. We hit it off so good that I left my horses in the same stalls and hired him as my trainer. For me it was an easy change and one for the GOOD I might add. Watch for Joe's name to pop up more and more. His wife "Jolane" works and manages the farm and Joe travels the circuit. Great team.

Thanks for the praise. I used to do the tracks myself and give out my picks. These days I have less time so I am attempting to refine a mechanical selection I have somewhat developed and post the picks from that as contenders. Still a lot of work left yet as the first runs have been disappointing.

quit what? what are you talking about? Maybe I don't want to quit whatever it is you think I should quit, you ever think of that?

If you go to the trouble of starting a new site, you probably should try for a little more originality, that's all I'm saying. I didn't say I didn't like the site.
