After what I said about Fillys, I'm going to have to apologize to Rags to Riches. She likes to run wide & has the power to make up for it half way through the race.
I say #3 Curlin #6 Hard Spun #7 Rags to Riches In that order.
good luck,

as I said, the wide turns will not matter...SHE IS AN AWESOME SPECIMEN...take nothing away from CURLIN cuz he ran a winning race........RAGS is the best horse in training except for INVASOR..............what a powerhouse...she could have run another 1/2 mile

She should have been able to run another mile, since they walked around the track for the 1st one.gah;

Jilted lover "NOT", I will never bet a filly against the boys. For the record, I didn't bet Curlin either. Considering that only (2) have beat me in the Kentucky Derby, I think that's sound betting logic. You guys go ahead and praise her, I just hope she comes out of the race O.K. I never seen a good "Long Term" result of these type of match ups (Ruffian, Winning Colors, Serena Song, etc,etc.). Speaking of the next annoited "SUPERSTAR/ CURLIN", he really showed his metal. Or maybe it was the jockey who wasn't strong enough to keep the filly in the middle of the track? I think it was a little bit of both.bc(

I Agree That The Girls Should Not Run With The Boys On A Regular Basis. You And I Both Know That Not All Races Set Up And Play Out The Way They Seem On Paper Or The Way We Vision Them In Our Minds.nonetheless,this Filly Is Special And Can Run With The Boys.she Beat The Best Male Horses And Probably Will Do It Again Down The Line.

I only see (1) shot for these (3) to meet up again. The Travers, and I know that they'll have they're running shoes on in that race.

It Would Make Sense For Her To Go To The Travers.she Could Run Backwards And Beat The Girls In The Alabama.

Sdi--i Am Not Sure If You And I Saw The Same Race.albarado Did Nothing Wrong.he Saved All The Ground And Had A Perfect Inside Out Trip.rags To Riches On The Other Hand,stumbled At The Start And Raced In The 4 Path The Whole Race.the Filly Also Got Bumped By Curlin When He Came Out To Make His Run. The Bottom Line Is---curlin Was In The Clear When It Mattered And He Just Got Beat--plain And Simple.she Is As Good As Any Male Counterpart Right Now.curlin Was More A Victim Of 3 Grueling Races In Less Then 2 Months Then A Victim Of Any Pace Scenario.
Asmussen Said It Himself After The Preakness That Curlin--knew He Was In A Tough Race.other Then Invasor---rags Is The Best Horse Out There Right Now---male Or Female.

Btw---we Did Hit The Triple For A Very Nice Score,but Our Main Win Bet Was Tiago.the Wise Men Are Not Here To Act Like Monday Morning Quarterbacks,but After The Race Was Run---we Know What We Saw.---good Luck To You.

hey DWI, there is no way that you can knock RTR. She has nothing to due with Ruffian, Winning Colors or Serena's Song. Plain and simple SHE had the BEST BREEDING OF ALL to get the 1.5 miles. She hads the toughest trip after the stumble, although being wide at Belmont is not a hindrance, she was out there the ENTIRE RACE, and until being engaged inside by Curlin, she never was inside. I personally want her in the BAMA and then Classic against INVASOR, no need to race against the 3-year old colts either. Let her keep winning G1's against the gals.
BTW-all accounts by Todd P say she was her usual self Monday AM, a buddy of mine at the race said she is even bigger in person and was intimidating to the boys.
As for Curlin, not sure where he is going since Tiz Wonderful is now in training....HE WAS ASMUSSEN's #1 before he got Curlin, if you remember

In my opinion Rags to Riches is a super star. Having said that, I don't think that she can beat the males at a shorter distance. I believe that the 1&1/2 miles and the five pound weight advantage had a lot to do with her victory.

fair point simul., although I feel her stumble offset the 5 pound adv. she gets. Another thing overlooked is this was her first time running beyond 1 1/8 miles, even though she is bread better than ANY OTHER, she still never raced beyond the 1 1/8 distance.....she jumped from 9 to 12 furlongs.....Pretty impressive
