Two afterthoughts in the derby get to pick first for post position. Meanwhile Curlin, AGS, Great Hunter get the worst positions.

Yep nashua, the last 5-6 to pick will probably be hung way on the outside or pinned on the rail, while some that won't have a prayer get the prime spots.

I wonder if Hard Spun wants to be on the inside or outside of Teuflesburg?

I would think probably just to his outside, unless they're gunnin' from the get-go. Been trying to rate him a little, so we'll see.

I think the 1 post will be available for GH. Nobody wants it but it might work out. That last race probably made him stronger.

The Racing Gods have been tough on GH for the past few weeks & this has to be the climax...gulp!Agree his last made him all the tougher.Just watching his last workouts he looks ready to peak physically.

If the track is set up like Breeders Cup Day, those first three holes could be rocket spots.

I think Curlin is commited to going out early but Hard Spun is still the controlling speed. Too bad for GH, but you never know

Curlin had better go to the front, or he'll have a wall of horses to go around. Don't like him ........ regardless of post.
