When Jesus Castanon won the 10th race in a thrilling finish on Tuesday,it
marked just his 3rd win from his last 43 mounts. This 2 time defending TBD
Jockey Leader, has been in a funk for weeks, but maybe this ride will wake
him up.
Hopefully a wake up call is coming for trainer Tom Proctor, always one of the
high percentage trainers at TBD,just 4 for 36 at the meeting, and hes not winning at any other tracks with his stable divisions either.
When Donnie Milkshake was given a copy of the Home Page,Lesalene Pompell became the listed trainer. She has picked up right where the Milkshake Shaker
had left off, 1 for 14,with zero seconds and thirds.Owner Buccina has had
the sly grin taken right off his face(see todays 4th race odds-on chalk flop)

Adding to the Tampa Posting, trainer Dale Bennett, has a higher win % than
Kirk Ziadie at Tampa, 15 for 38 39%,27 in money.Hot as a fired pistol.
He invaded with all those guns loaded, but suddenly, has not saddled a starter at Tampa in over a week.
He was seen with his Wife on Tuesday by the paddock,so he has not gone back to Chicago, and or been given a copy of The Home Page,a la Donnie Milkshake,so is there a story here?
Any informed members want to comment accordingly?

Oaklawn website dates 2-23-06:
"Jockey Bios: Eduardo Perez
Born: 2/17/66, Toloca, Mexico Resides: Barrington Hills, Illinois Family: Unmarried
"This isn't my first time at Oaklawn. I rode here as an apprentice in 1991." Eddie Perez remarked. ******This time, the 4'11" Perez is here with the large Dale Bennett stable.
The Bennett barn is headed by Winone, a lightly raced three-year-old."
________
Maybe he moved his horses there for the meet and is looking for horses to claim with the wife.

It was very easy- Dale runs 3 tommorrow at TBD; A Gerald Bennett ran 2 entries Tuesday at TBD.
I would say neither Bennett has been suspended.
It is easy to assume the worst unless you spend 5 minutes checking , like I just did for you! You are welcome.

Maybe its me but I don't see anything nefarious regarding Dale Bennett's hot streak here at Tampa. I look at the "way" a horse wins a race. When horse after horse suddenly finds another gear 1/3 of the way down the stretch...it makes me sit up and notice. When they consisently over-achieve based on my sometime faulty handicapping I take notice. Bennett's horses are entered where they belong, win in what normally appear to be horse races not drag races in the stretch. When you come in with imited stock you can't be 40% the entire meet. Most horses have cycles or are grounded by the conditions of races written. What is happening now in my opinion is the condition book is catching up with his stock, etc. I don't know him but he appears to be a GREAT trainer, with good stock, an ability to read the condition book and a level head on entering a horse. Overall....me personally, I'd rate hiim among the very top of the horseman here...just off watching him overall at this meet.

Dale Bennett did run 2 horses at Tampa on Friday, and is in the entry box over the weekend.
He was on the grounds of TBD on Friday as well,so all is well,in "Bennettville".
It was just very unusual, for a trainer who had been saddling horses regularly
and with great success,to suddenly go 8 days without one in a race.
