So much for the so called experts. Michigan and Ohio showed the nation that they need to play a harder schedule and quit trying to convince the nation that they deserve to be #1 & 2. SEC is football, always has been and they knock each other out every year. 3 or 4 Sec teams could do to Michigan and Ohio what FL did to Ohio. Yes Fl deserved to be there. Did Ohio? Enough said. To the 'Happy Days" man (Richie the C),
Not picking, but would like to discuss this with you, if you don't mind; ok?
Who are the experts you mention? As I recall, at the start of both games, you referrenced, the majority of the money were on both MI & OSU. Toss aside your feelings about the public, but over the last 23 bowl seasons the public has been correct (su) more than not.
Far as the schedules go, they are made years in advance and everyteam can only play who is on it. One can compare/contrast the teams but in the end - it still comes down to how the teams fare against each other.
I'm sorry but if I'm not mistaken, the coaches (you know those who have real first hand knowledge of the game) had OSU #1 from the get go. Don't play the underdog card here ~ it won't wash. Yes, FL won (now)last night. Is the SEC better than the other conferences? Well that depends on what criteria one uses. Not saying the SEC is not a quality conference (they are) but each of teams are not top-tier talent/quality.
I seriously doubt 3 or 4 teams (presuming from the SEC) would be able to do what USC did to them in the Rose Bowl. MI was still processing the loss of a LEGEND - it takes time to resolve those things, heck my dad past about a half dozen years ago and I still have days that cause problems/touble and he was "just a man". Also think that MI came out flat in part to not being able to play OSU (it happens) and from the layoff. Before you go and say "homer card", please take note our primary residence is the sunshine state (FL).
Enjoy your win tonight Gainsville player, as I guarentee they don't win it in 2008.
Kevin
BTW, thought Happy Days was a very good tv series for it's time.
Interesting game- but I still like unbeaten teams!LOL!! Go Boise State!LOL!!

I'm certainly not a sports betting person. Trying to get a little bit of a hang on how to bet TB,s. I try to enjoy other sports as strictly entertainment and in noway have the expertice nor desire to place large amt's of money on this entertainment. What I am Swelled up about is Fl proved on the field that they indeed deserved to be there. The sports experts(espn, fsn etc) seemed to indicate that it was a disservice to Mi and to some extent Ohio that Fl was selected to be in the big game. The Big 10 only won 1 of the bowl games Wis beat Ark. I for one did not care to see Ohio meet and maybe beat Mi again for the 4th or 5th time in a row. The experts or those that are responsible for making 1 team ranked higher than the other has been wrong in 7 of the last 9 Bcs/championship games. They were really wrong last night was all I was trying to crow about. My own personal belief is that SEC has always been a STRONG football conference and the ACC has always been Basketball. Not from betting or making money but from a fan's observation.
The whooping Fl gave Ohio reminds me of the Whooping Neb. gave Fl a few years back. Men playing against boys. Sorry if anyone is offended by this cause no offence intended believe me.

The Big 10 Is Living In The Past...they Have 2 Rival Teams There & Draw 90-100k Every Time They Play Each Other..the Rest Of The Teams, well, I Won't Comment On Them..regarding The Sec, Any Of Those Are Far Superior To Any In The Big Ten...and I Know A Little Bit About Football...if Anyone Doubts It,they Can Ask Bart Starr & Jim Taylor As I Beat Jim By A 1/2 Block Back In 1960..even Steve R. Knows It...

don't foget Penn St. also beat Tennessee.....top to bottom the SEC is much stronger, however on any given day, anybody can't beat anybody....IE, Florida.....OSU wasn't an 7.5 favorite for no reason.....
Still, FLorida won, deserved to win and congrats to the school for holding the two biggest college sports championships at the same time, that is more impressive to me......
Delta, did you go to Syracuse U?????

Bart Starr / Alabama, and Jim Taylor / LSU I believe.
The bottom line is, there were a few great games for the casual fan to see some good college football.
I miss seeing the bands at halftime during the regular college season. Everyone has to make a buck with their halftime shows.

Mr. Tote, as you may or may not know, dotting the "I" is the ultimate thing to be lucky enough to do for OSU........possibly even more important than showing up for the bowl game!!!!!
being on the Left Coast wasn't sure if you were aware, that is all
