Hi. I recently sent an e-mail to Terry Wallace at Oaklawn Park asking if Oaklawn would like to provide us with some Oaklawn logo prizes again for use in on-line handicapping contests at www.trackwinners.com (http://www.trackwinners.com). Here is his reply:

Carol,
I have a bagful of goodies from Kim Baron in our Gift Shop for your
group to use for prizes.

Is there anyone coming by to Simulcast who can pick them up for you?
They are in my office, but I can take them up to the Dish Jockey booth
if you think someone will be around. The Dish Jockey booth will be
removed the day after Christmas, so they will need to be picked up at my
Media office, near the General Office, if not before Christmas.

Things are shaping up for a great season. We have plenty of horses and
some very good ones to make things happen. Now we need you and your
friends to complete the picture. I hope it will all work out to your
desires.

Happy holidays,
Terry Wallace

Any chance any of you Hottalkers located closer to Oaklawn will be going to Oaklawn this weekend for simulcast racing, or perhaps in the next couple of weeks? If so, maybe you can pick up this goody bag for us and hang onto it until Fred and I get into Hot Springs in mid-February.

Hi, Carol,

What a very nice thing to have happen! :)

If there's any way you can get the stuff here, we can do a big OAKLAWN promotion for their opening!

If there's any way I can help, please let me know!

I can't go to Oaklawn... I'm 900 miles from there!

Hey Carol,
I returned your personal message, I think I can help out if needed since I live just a little bit closer than Jerfi, just about a furlong away. Just let me know.

You can tell the race meet is getting closer, a lot of track folks in town and seeing horse vans driving into town, plus seeing the horses working out in the morning while driving by Oaklawn.

Hey Smith will you be giving us the "drive-by" report of hot tips from what you see in the 30 seconds it takes to pass by the track on the street? Try to clock them by pacing with your car? haha ;)

Glad to see the old gang on here~

By private message, I asked Smith to pick up the goodies next week, and I sent Terry Wallace an e-mail to let him know Smith would be our designated guy.

Thanks, everyone.
