I see not one posting pertaining to Harness Racing.
Some of you Northeasterners, may remember me,Sports Eye Columnist for 8 years,TV Co Host Color Analyist on the show" Racing From The Meadowlands"
on Madison Square Garden Network for 5 years.
I am in Tampa,and a flats guy now,but there is a Trainer at Woodbine,who
everything she touches turns to $$$$.
CASSIE COLEMAN.
When you are at your local simulcast outlet,if you see the Woodbine Harness Racing going on,look to see if Cassie Coleman has something racing,it will be
worth your while.$$$$$

Steve,
That is good to hear.
I have recruited,"Hollywood" Bob Heyden,the Meadowlands Guru of Guru's,
widely considered the walking bible of Harness Racing.
I do not know whether he has signed up yet on TW.
Good Luck

hi ; i'm from the northeast , been trotting since before cardigan bay beat bret hanover. i knew the orange trotter the deceased mr. masteleone. he taught me quite a lot when i was 1 of the kids at the poolroom.. there were always good sheets & in the 60's jack e lee in the l.i. press .the armstrong sports eye of course. but since trotting in ny hit the pits i only made occasional trips to the big m . now i've been to the yonkers or ahem empire racino. they will have horses i think 10/29 . if they do away with the passing lane & have tri's that don' t pay $25 p3's pay under $50 . if they get a decent crop of drivers + if they were smart they'd go back to the old system jffa to c3 's the free for alls etc. thats if they want to get more than 500 a nite. yes trotting tends to get neglected on here. oh tell me who you are i might know ya. who knows. now the ? of the ages is who will emerge as the dominant yr driver + the trainer with the best undetectable juice. hmmm wonder if loosh is still alive . well anyway i don't mind talking about the trotting game gl gm

I TOOK A CRACK AT THE BUGGIES BACK IN 59-61.IT WAS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I WAS DOING TRAINING THOROUGHBREDS.I LOVED BYE BYE BIRD,WIDOWER CREED,ADIOS BUTLER,DEMON HANOVER,& THE GREAT PROXIMITY.I WAS AN OWNER/TRAINER LICENSED IN NY-DEL-MD.MY CLAIM TO FAME FOR MYSELF; ON A WEDNESDAY I WORKED "BROWN STAR" AT ROSECROFT RACEWAY IN 203 2/5 AND AFTER HE COOLED OUT HE GOT ON THE VAN TO CHICAGO FOR THE FEATURE "HTA RACE" FFA ON SATURDAY NIGHT.DAVE LEGUM DROVE HIM TO FINISH 3RD ...ADIOS BUTLER WON IT WITH BYE BYE BIRD 2ND.WENT BACK TO THE THOROGHBREDS.IT WA SHARD TO MAKE ANY MONEY AS THE POTS WERE VERY SMALL.AS YOU KNOW WHEN U WON A RACE U ONLY GOT 50% OF THE POT.THOROGHBREDS U GOT 65% OF THE POT.THE RULE OF THUMB BACK THEN IN HARNESS RACING>>IF U WON A RACE IT WOULD HELP TO PAY THE NUT.WE HAD TO WAIT WHEN THERE WAS TRICKERY TO CASH A BET..WITH THE SAME EFFORT AND THE SAME $$$ YOU COULD ALWAYS DO BETTER WITH THE THOROGHBREDS..
BUDDY GILMORE WAS THE BOBBY FRANKEL BACK THEN.$) $) hh)

i'm a little bit behind you. but i did see the best the dancers .houghtons sholtys & the rest. you could really love trotting back then .big crowds roosevelt .greatest drivers & horses. my brother worked for buddy regan circa 72 he was there for regans biggest yrs . loosh & my bros giving me the signal from the paddock. they almost won 100% the signaled horses. my bros also was hooked up with the crawfords in upstate ny . vernon downs . also kenneth kleinman. after my bros got married ---he had all the licenses .but he couldn't get a fair chance to advance quik enuf worked at .ups 25+ yrs .go figure. i go back to only wps betting & dd maybe the twin was on then .you bought on 1 side cashed on the other. i loved the green speckled $4 combo ticket 2w 2pl i was only 15 . seems like just you me & steve are into or remember the golden yrs of the game. every nite i wasn't there i'd get marty glickman on the RADIO he called the featured 5th race 8 go they are. i've been up to the racino . yonkers opens 11/3 i'm very curious as to who & what there will be. i can't stand the passing lane. ruined the 1/2 mile track game in my opinion. anyway time for 1st at aqu later
