Like everyone else after the reset, I began Thursday with a bankroll of $8,000 ... bet $5,000 and won $17,500 in Thursday's SAR contest race. $17,500 plus $5,000 from the original stake and $3,000 untouched equals $25,500.
Friday, I bet $8,000 and lost. Now, the vBookie says I have only $50 left. Shouldn't I still have $17,500 left to bet? Please explain the math.

I think there was a reset after Thrusday, Cuz I only had 1000 left after Thursday but today I had 8000.

Yep..There was a reset. As stated before the contest and during.

Thats the bad news.

The good news is that all top five winning members at the time of the reset will have ALL their money added together at the conclusion for a Grand Total winner.

The reset serves to help many still play as they hone their skills and learn how fast a bankroll can diminish if used poorly.

At a glance it appears that Barry2006 is the overall leader as of today. However, he too will need plenty of skill not to be overtaken in the stretch by some of you top handicappers at Trackwinners

Later, there will be a contest or two where active members will get a bankroll and there will be no reset.

Hi, Steve,

Is this betting program you are using capable of accepting place and show bets, also?

Thanks for putting up the contests! :) They are fun!

Hi, Steve,

Thanks for the reply.

Let me suggest another type of contest for your thinking:

The contestants would choose their own races ... say 10 .... and the winner is the one who picks the most ones right...

Or... another possibility is to see who can select the most correct picks in a row....with a goal of 10 straight wins, perhaps.....

I see the latter being done like this: everyone chooses ONE RACE for each day. The second day, only the ones who got their pick right the first day can enter .. third day, same, etc .. till only one is left standing... rather like the survivor contests offered by some tracks...

Thanks!

Thanks, but every race that is put up on the Bookie has to be typed by me. The horse name, the odd's etc--all entered manually. That suggestion would be too time consuming for me.

OKAY.... I'm beginning to understand that maintaining this site is a LOT MORE WORK than I would have figured.
