Tonight on TVG, Chris Kotulak said "Bright One doesn't hold a candle to these two," while referring to Bernardini and Bluegrass Cat. Agree or disagree?

If these three were to run 10 races with each other, each of them would have at least one win.

Kotulak is a sharp guy but think he's a bit prematuer here--gotta give Bright One a chance to show what he can do against the big boys before making a statement like that. If I were Romans I'd put him on the front end at Saratoga and gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

I would love to see Bright One at the Spa with about 3-4 weeks rest trying a stakes race in front of the royalty of east coast talent. Is there an appropriate race on Nov 4 in Ky you think Bright One would challenge for....??

If he wins or battles Bernardini gamely and loses then yes go to the BC. If it proves too much too soon take a break and look for a group to crush at TP, then set your 4 year old campaign up.

Bright One is a very serious horse.
He has speed and a ton of talent.
I actually think he has a better shot of upsetting Bernardini than Bluegrass Cat does.
However, I look for Bernardini to take the Travers...he is just an outstanding race horse. Even top older horses like Invasor and Lava Man will have their hands full with him.

I think Kotulak meant he's not that kind of horse right now. I agree I think you take a softer spot. This is still an inexperienced colt with alot of potentioal. Not time to risk breaking his spirit. Send him to the Super Derby and destroy a group there.

Romans says Bright One has a *cough* so couldn't go so Bernardini gets to put on another show: he'll be clear of Bluegrass Cat by 5 at the wire.

ML 5-2 in Indiana Derby! No way. More like 2-5, but if I can get 5-2, screw the p4, I'm all in!

At what odds would you NOT bet him, on the low side? Or, asked another way, what do you see fair odds as being?
I see him about 4/1 as fair odds.

when he couldnt get around he was done how i saw the race he made two attemps to pass but the second attempt was not impressive when he couldnt make the move he was eased not to say theres anythingwrong with him just no reason to battle for third not the last weve seen of this one race with less controled pace and you will see alot better

Looks like War Emblem to me. If he's not on the lead he won't run. Star Dabbler showed speed with Henny Hughes--wish the Bright Onw could've gotten on even terms with Star Dabbler to see a duel but he couldn't ge there (75-1 inside of him). Guidry tried to rate and didn't happen. Nice horse but temper expectations.

Paced out average horses.. didnt win like a monster, but ran on well... I agree with Z, if he gets his way he looks like a bear, but off the lead, not a winnner. You might see Romans add blinks soon
