I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU GUYS WERE FAMILIAR WITH THE PLACE PICK ALL. ITS A BET THAT SANTA ANITA OR ONE OF THOSE CALI TRACKS BROUGHT INTO PLAY. TO MY KNOWLEDGE ONLY THEY HAVE THE BET (at least with a significant pool, that is). THE POOLS AT SA ARE USUALLY ANYWHERE FROM $30,000 to $125,000. I LOVE THIS BET, IT GOES LIKE THIS:
very self explanatory..
$1 bet, you can do a wheel
pick a place horse in races 1-8 or on weekends often 1-10.
sometimes 9 out of 10 wins it if longshots rule a day.. it pays full out except for the track takeout....THERE ARE NO CARRY'S
my tickets often look like this starting with race 1 through 8
1 12
2 2,3,5
3 3,7
4 3
5 3, 10,13
6 4,5
7 4
8 3,12

this is a $72 bet.
the three keys i used might all be 4-5 or i might occasionally try to key a 5 or 10 to 1 shot to hit the top 2 and hope a bomb comes in with him.. remember the payoff and the pool payout depends on two places per race..
WELL ANYWAY.. its great fun, and can last an entire day... I hope some of you have opinions on this.. :)

I am a big supporter of the Pick All a $1.00 bet to pick the winner or place horse in each race at California tracks.. Statistically it is difficult but with good handicapping skills and of course luck....its better than playing the crapshoot lottery,,,,,,,,,,,,,If the favorite can be knocked out in a few races you may cash a great ticket or be lucky enough to get a couple grand for missing just one race.................

I klnow it can get big!
But when I consistently bet favorite early speed on the fastest track days I one hit it for $18.00 at GGF!LOL!
I need to try it again now that play longshots also. Like Sundays down South.

Yes, Mister Sanderson, Santa Anita has that bet. To me, it's as hard as hitting the pick 6, with it usually paying much less than a winning pick six ticket, but then, I'm not a very good handicapper!

Some days it is harder than the pic 6, but it's easier to find keys for place than for win. You have to have the right keys to hit it obviously. How often have you keyed the speed of the race to win only to see him spit late and fade to third or last for that matter. If that speed horse is "over-keyed" to place and he pigs, you could have either of the top-two finishers to stay alive with many people out.

You're right, you are a bad 'capper (ha). It is actually not that hard, if you really give yourself time to study it, a cost affordable ticket is often a result. "SECONDITIS" is a real thing, but with this bet, you can actually take advantage of it. I encourage all of you, look at SA's races, look at the odds that runs 1-2 each race, and check out the payoff at the end... It is (in my opinion) more than a generous payout around 90% of the time..
