Super Bowl XL

40 years ...I remember them all,

I moved to Miami in 1972 in August, routed for the Dolphins from game one to the super bowl 17-0, they got no respect in the super bowl, Washington Redskins were 3 point favorites,

Oh man what a crazy party town Miami was before the game & after,
talk about super bowl party...it Begin in Miami in 1972.

post your picks to super bowl XL to this thread with the points,
if you have a remembered moment post that too.

I'll post my super bowl pick later.

Okay lets use the 4pt spread in use today to pick our pick today,
(please use the 4 pts either way)

I select the Seattle Seahawks + 4 pts to win Super Bowl XL,
Seattle Seahawks get no respect...IMO should be the favorite.

Since I have 0 & 0 for the Super Bowl Pool, I say the defenses for both teams will be outstanding until the 4th quarter, when the Seahawks score 10 points & win 10-0 :p :D :p :D

Seahawks 16-13 on late FG

trifecta mark

Was in Tampa. Ny Giants vs Buffalo Bills Wide right. I still get goosebumps hearing Whitney Houston sing the National Anthem with the air force flying overhead. Of course being a Tampa season ticket holder and having to sit through decades of futility/folly ...I enjoyed the Bucs going from worst to first a couple years ago!

when Buffalo's place kicker missed that field gold against the Giants I was the only person in my crowd that won that day ....
...fast forward...to the buc's win, I was also the only member of the group of say 19...that won...kind'a loney both times.

I had my HARD losses but not those times.

Bill Cower, he's a football guy. With a jaw like that you gotta be. either football or boxing. I think he tried boxing first, but he didn't have the moves or quickness. So, he's a football dude. Unfortunately, the numerous punches he sustained(not to the jaw but the side of he's head)has caused irreversible damage. On the other side Mike Holmgren's brain is still pretty much intact. Therefore, he comes up with a better game plan and wins the Super Bowl.
