When Barbaro Was Turned Out Is A Round Pen @ Fairhill He Caught His Hind Leg Partly Thru It. A Vet Was Called To Fairhill To Examine Him

I believe it.
I have never seen a horse break down that early in a race without contacting another horse.
And, I watched thousands of races at TBD - the track where almost every horse is taking bad steps right out of the gate - all the way around the track.
IMO, there has to be more to the story than him just "taking a bad step".

I believe Barbaro injured his ankle when he broke through the gate. I watched the reply a few times and It looks to me like he was limping at the break and the further he ran the more damage he did. Track management goofed by not having the Vet examine him...but try and get them to admit it..good luck.

Go back and watch the replay again. After the horses broke off from the ponies in the post parade, when Prado was warming Barbaro up he kept looking at the horses back end. If you have the race on Tivo or tape watch and you'll see - the horse was not warming up correctly in the back end.

Fyi>> Again I Will Repeat What I Posted Before In A Different Manner...when Barbaro Was In The Round Pen Outside Of His Barn At Fairhill Training Center, He Rolled In The Dirt And Caught,hit,bang Or Whatever His Right Hind Against The Wooden Planks...if You Ever Saw A Horse Get Casted You Will Understand...that Happened Wed Or Thursday Before He Left On Friday To Van To Pimlico..this Was Told By Horsemen That I Know For 44 Years....maybe It Never Happened...maybe I Had A Bad Dream..maybe The Horsemen That Told Me Are 12 Year Olds
