Last year, the Derby was dominated by closing capability, and the "Friction" values from CompuTrak ranked almost exactly, (one exception), to the final order of finish.
Of course, as we all know, today's race can set up differently. But, for interest, at least, here are the Program Numbers ranked by closing capability, i.e. by Horse Friction, for the first 17 horses:
