I like Sidney's Candy to leave, get good position, maybe wire to wire and win the Derby.

With only 121 lbs she looks good.
Looking at Lucky, also looks good now with most of the main contenders knocked out by injuries.

Jackson Bend ran 2nd to Eskendereya twice. I like the connections of Sidneys' Candy, also like Awesome Act, probably go with JB.and SC. But who the heck knows any more how this will turn out. Darts maybe just as good as any other guess. It's all exciting any way you look at it. Monday morrning Quarter backing is 100%.

Is there a cinch in the Oaks this year? That Oaks-Derby double paid over $200 last year. If this field is as wide open as it looks...could be a bet. This race is a grasp anyhow.

You could say that again! Looking At Lucky's post position..not so hot and my other favorite drew a 20. It is going to be anyone's race! Pletcher has 4 entries, Baffert has 2. If Borel can do his magic, Super Saver could be in my trifecta! Stately Victor, Devil May Care and Dublin are on my winning times list!

I notice Backtalk the 18 is Smarty's son. Last year Birdstone's son won. Maybe it's time for Smarty's Revenge at about 50-1. Stranger things have happened.
Now that my pick is on the rail I'm a little scared. How much does the 1 draw really matter? Everybody has to get a good trip to have a chance no matter where you are. I think I'll buy a $2 win-all and feed the ducks.

Here are some to consider for the Derby:
1. #1 Lookin at Lucky
2. #12 Conveyance
3. #13 Jackson Bend
Good Luck to all.

Thought I had a guaranteed winner today, playing 11/ALL in the Oaks-Derby double. Head-bob loss yesterday which probably would have been a minimum 3 figure double. I'm stinging from that one. The 5 ran a teriffic race. I thought the 11 got it at the wire but when NBC came out and interviewed the 5 before the numbers were posted I knew she didn't get it. bh)
So it's back to the drawing board today in an impossible mission with bad conditions and eight million ways to die in a big field so I'm using the 14 Mission Impazable in exotics and across the board. The horse gained in the stretch in every race, albeit some of them slow. Doubt we'll set any speed records today anyway. Will also be using the 1. $50-60 total outlay on the race.
$1 EXB: 1,2, 10, 14
$10 Across 14
$3 WP 7 American Lion
You're all welcome (to my $60.) Have fun today.
Edit-took out my SFX play, no dime tossing available today.
