WHEN HE RAN HIS LAST RACE IN THE BREEDERS CUP,HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SCRATCHED..WHEN I SAW HIM IN THE PADDOCK ON TV AFTER HE WAS SADDLED,I SAW HIM OFF BEHIND..I TOLD STEVE, SATISH SANAN,GEORGE THE CLOCKER AT TAMPA BAY DOWNS AND THE TELLERS IN THE SPORTS GALLERY THAT HE WOULD'NT BE ON THE BOARD....HAD HE BEEN 100% RACING SOUND THAT DAY HE WOULD HAVE WON...MY OPINION.... P.S DON'T FORGET THAT HIS LAST RACE WAS AT BELMONT...IT WASN'T THE TRACK THAT BEAT HIM..HE WAS HURTING BEFORE HE EVEN GOT TO THE GATE....

that I was the king of the run-on sentence, but I believe Mr. Fog has me topped. I still want to understand why there has been no mention of turf with this horse.. Since most Lost Soliders' are better on the sod.;)
Maybe they will try turf later; but the turf tracks at GGF and BM cannot be the best around.

Oh my . . . . . .isn't he a joy to watch . . . . . I have never seen a horse run so fast with so little effort . . . . . pure poetry in motion. I have all of his races on tape so when I need my "Fog" fix I just pop it in the vcr.

How do you know he runs better on dirt?? Are you a psychic?? Can you see the future where Lost in the Fog falters on turf.??... because he's never been on it and his bloodlines (that means his family background) indicate that he will like the grass. And on April 22, he will probably be in a race of overmatched runners at GG, so that means he wins. We all know he can run on dirt, I was just asking a question about the grass.

Mr.S.
If I'm not mistaken there are plans to try the grass this year. Would be great if he likes it . . . . grass races are so much better for the horse, easier on the underpinnings.

Really Enjoy Watching Fog Run.i Just Didn't Understand The Lack Of Respect He Got In Drf 3y.o. Rankings Last Year.don't Beleive The Horse Ever Made Top 10 But Yet This Year Keyed Entry Has Already Made The Rankings.also Think Horse Should Of Tried A Two Turn Race At Least Once Last Year.
Maybe there at least is more attention in the high end sprinter category now. I think sometimes a horse like this that is top but not a consensus is good for racing discussion.
LITF's daddy Lost Soldier- "At 7 Won Maxxam Gold Cup Handicap -L, 2nd Dallas Turf Cup Handicap -L".
Turf?

AFTER WATCHING 2 DERBY WINNERS GO BASICALLY WIRE TO WIRE BAFFERT'S HORSE AND ANOTHER GREAT SMARTY JONES I JUST THINK HORSE WOULDA RAN FIELD OFF THEIR FEET IN FIRST HALF OF THE RACE.CHASERS FADE FOG WOULD'VE WON KY DERBY.

... I really, really, doubt that would be the case... In a classic distance race such as the Derby, a speed deamon like LITF would need to be rated for the distance.. and with that rating he probably loses that powder keg of a punch that he has in sprints, and his run becomes more level and level instead of dominant... Kind of like Pletcher's "More than Ready" who was a wonderful sprinter and was stretched out to be a nice 2nd, 3rd, 4th place route horse, but couldn't maintain that dominance...

i think cause to believe will be one of the good horses in the Kentucky derby but i still dont believe that hes up to the hype he just needs one more race to prove himself and if he does win the Kentucky derby then i'll believe that hes ready for the preakness and the Belmont
