The top 3 horses that are being bet, more times than not will produce the race winner of the three.
With that in mind, key on the top 3 with the next three being bet.
Example: A-2/1 B-3/1 C-4/1 D-5/1 E-6/1 F-7/1

the exacta play would be ABC/DEF

that sounds like a method I will try, I have a question that someone will know im sure. I bet online at bodog.com. The tote window, when you push the key button, it only keys one horse? sometimes you will want to do what you are talking about but I dont know how to do that with that tote window? anybody know?

Many times that is true; but everything has the odd-ball exceptions!
Laurel, 3-23:
Race #8 Allowance (1x), $28,000, 5f (turf)

#1 Rushmo 20-1 Top speed at distance, vacation while turf course closed, no Alw winners in race

How many times does the top three finish 1st and 2nd? I would be a loss on your ticket, even tho it wouldn't pay anything.

I dont know if I would ever do such a thing, my ego fights too hard and it would take away the decision-making process, but I really appreciate the threads you add. If you can give total stats over an extended period of time with your exacta and super betting, I would be interested to hear the results, even if only on a "what if" scenario. Which tracks, other than Lrl, have you been doing this at??

Interesting stat on the first 3 betting choices winning at about 70%. I know the favorite, on the average will run 1st or 2nd 50% of the time. Average will be approx. 33% win and 17% 2nd. I wonder if anyone knows what the percentage of two of the first 3 betting selections finishing 1st and 2nd together in the exacta??

IMO you would need say 2,000 races for a data base,
...we must get 5-1 odds & up to show a profit over the long run.

My guess is that the top 3 who run OTM have not recovered enough energy from the last race or have been layed off a long time and need a race.

Jimmy,

Curious how your ROI has been with this method? How often do you play? Some stat book I have stored somewhere had this method as an overall loser. Do you have some other criteria that you incorporate?

Thanks for sharing.

yes plausable .but when 2 of the figure horses a ,b,or c run 1,2 which happens more often you`ll lose. however those abc ex `s will pay under $25 lets say .when you click you`ll hopefully double that . but at bel a 2-1can win with say f & still come back $24.40 . i guess out of ny ---less takeout & wiseguys sending it in,you just might eke out a few bucks. also if ab or c wins with a 30-1 seventh choice you lose. the real truth is angles come & go . it may be 1 week a trainer jock combo.another ,rail horses winning. theres no angle that will always make you moolah. the game just doesnt work that way. but as i said .the next month your angle may run wild .but then it`ll drop dead.that you can bet on. now i`m gonna look at he p3 angle good luck guy
