i think the brewers have the best team in the nl and hope the rays have the best team in the inherently inferior infantile al.
brew crew need to cut bait w/weeks and get a sure thing veteran like mark grudz or loretta: loretta started slowly now heating up and can help out @
3B. bill hall's not hitting either. their relief corp is now finally intact and is actually being underused at this point--definitely better than overused. little prince will start dropping at some point i'm sure. branyan is killing it as is weirdo braun. they should try to upgrade in the rotation too; if mcclung suppan bush should become cc sabathia or aj burnett you might win yoself a world series pop
bottles pour it on a mottle.
phillies win east, brewers central, dodgers west, cubs wc
rays win east, ozzie central, angels west, hank wc

you putting that 0 in front of the years is seriously pissing me off. technically correct or not, stop it, or i won't give you terrible hog-out longshots and chalks anymore.
HERE YOU GO:
Chipper can only play 50 out of the remaining 80 or so games, and my Braves fall short, while staying alive and losing the East by 6. Phillies, flawed as they are, just hit baseball's too well. They remind me of those Yankee monster lineups of a few years ago. Mets 2nd and make it close. Phillies, not enough arms to win NL.
WEST
D'Backs on their arms. The O Dog Conor Jackson (solid OBP) and Upton wakes up, with a little bit of Stephen Drew picking up his bat once in a while. Dodgers linger and slide late, too much time without Furcal and Brad Penny just doesn't put it back together this year. Giants become a tough team to handle with solid pitching and a good pen. Padres, will disappoint, unless Chris Young comes back with the fury. Not enough bats. Rockies stay around, and this just in... they WILL NOT end the season this year with 23 straight wins.
CENTRAL
Cubs and Brewers. I'll call Brewers just on Cub uniform. Bring out the goat!!!
AL
EAST
The most exciting race. And the winner is.......... the freaking Red Sox. Papi comes back, Manny takes a piss in left field, and they do enough to win the division. Pedroia continues to amaze me. Schrimp that swings to knock the ball THROUGH the fence. Ray's get 2nd and MISS the playoffs. Too bad, I'm rooting for them. Waiting to see how good Price is. Yankees stay in it, but inconsistent pitching doesn't allow them to string enough games together to reach contention. 6 behind Bo Sox, 2 behind Rays.
CENTRAL
A fun fun division. Seriously, how are the Twins doing this? They have so many also rans on that team. Leading MLB with .315 AVG with runners in scoring position. They teach situational hitting all the way through their entire organization, that is how they take hitting practice. ALL THAT SAID, they end up 3rd in the Central.
WINNER: You can put it on the Board: YES!!!!!! Carlos Que - in... no, he di - n't. They can hit. As long as the old guys like Dye and Thome can stay in tact, I think they have enough to win. Watch out for Alexi Ramirez, their 2nd baseman, I think this kid is the real deal. 2nd by a neck is the DETROIT TIGERS. They make the playoffs with Joel Zumaya as their closer, and tons of bats.
WEST
Angels. They play the right way and they are too much all-around for the A's and Rangers. I love the Rangers, but they don't pitch too routinely, at least they don't pitch well routinely.
AL
TIGERS
NL
BREW CREW (please stay healthy Ben Sheets.. if they get CC I'll make this a strong pick)
WINNER
THE BREW CREW bc(
Ryan Braun is a star. He is a prick, but he is a monster.

don't know what to make of weeks--watched 3 ABs yesterday and gorzelanny threw him change after change out of the zone and he was just clueless. good power-good peripheral numbers (bad defensive numbers though)....and he's leading-off. hmmm. he has had hand injuries the last two years.
will be baseball be around in the year 10,000?

CC Sabathia. i could swear i saw that gallardo was already back and had two starts since his injury. the overall pitching is still way down from small-ball days.
i wish they'd augment their interpretation of the height of the strike zone: it's supposed to be bigger than it is. you are a man with a stick in your hand, attack or protect; can we play ball gentlemen? may we enjoy a civilized afternoon at our leisure and your pleasure on a glorious july four afternoon in middle beautiful sacred precious love america! the over-adjusting, the gratuitous sign-giving, the OCD preswing routines, the grotesque mannyisms
of our daughters and aunts, sisters and nieces, mothers and mistresses?
they're tired, dull, redundant, banal, cliche, old hat, worn-out, ****ed up.
i've reached the dark depths of a pit i thought surely bottomless: the stench
of the sizzrp sizzrp sippin szrp triggers it --> the spray: rapid stomach-emptying next. mcdonald's? you wanna go to mcdonald's?

the only thing i can say for sure that mcd's serves that will leave you diarrhea free is bottled water. if you get a double cheese and a bottled water, the water will enable the diarrhea to flow freely. then you can sing 'free fallin' while dropping bows on yo toe let.

The Brewers DID get Sabathia. But the Cubs got Rich Harden today as well.. I think it will really play out fun in the NL Central this year.. especially if Hardin can stay healthy.
I actually want to revise my NL East pick after thinking about it. I just get the feeling the Mets win the Division. Look at the enormous numbers offensively the Phillies are putting up, and the barely maintain a lead. I think they remain around 3 1/2 games up at this point. If Brett Myers (the wifebeater) doesnt come back effectively, the Phillies are in trouble.
I still like the Brewers to get thru the NL, but I defintely favor the Mets to get thru the East, although I'm still a Brave lifer.
