Who is going to ride "Casino Drive"? Garrett Gomez, Edgar Prado, or John Velazquez? Robby Albarado is on "Denis of Cork" replacing Calvin Borel
Again, their all racing for second. Who is the second best?
Can "Macho Again", "Icabad Crane", "Denis of Cork" or "Tale of Ekati" compete with "Casino Drive"?
Will "Tomcito" be better then dead last? LOL

I heard Jon K Court had a chance at Casino Drive. He won the Japan Cup on former 22k keeneland sale purchase smart strike 40k claim gelding 48-1 Fleetstreet Dancer over superfreak Admire Don the 1-2 chalk by a gut-
nose. Shocking after 10 straight losses though running big to Pleasantly Perfect and Candy Ride. You have to respect this monster but how good does he have to be to outrun Big Brown? I thought the Peter Pan was fairly solid and he breezed publicly raw horse: first time juice BELMONT?

Likely easiest exacta ever straight. BB too much talent and higher cruising speed leaves CD well clear of third but well beaten. 5 lengths. 15 lengths to 3rd for Dr. Stone to round out tri.

I heard people were talking about using TAKE as well, with KENT on Big Brown. IMO they used KENT in the Peter Pan, because if something would have happened to BB than Kent could have rode Casino Drive. Wasn't Kent in Japan for 2 or 3 years a few years ago?

Casino Drive was ridden by Desormeaux in the Peter Pan, so he will need a new jockey for the Belmont. Japanese superstar Yutaka Take rode Casino Drive in his lone start in Japan, and owner Hidetoshi Yamamoto spoke to him Sunday at Tokyo Racecourse about the possibility of riding in the Belmont, according to the Japan Racing Association. But Take was unable to give him a positive answer as he may be contracted to ride the day after the Belmont in the Yasuda Kinen, a Grade 1 mile worth $1.6omillion at Tokyo.
Nobutaka Tada, the representative for Yamamoto, said he was leaning toward an American-based rider.
"A mile and a half, you need to understand the pace," Tada said. "American jockeys have an advantage here."
Top riders yet to commit to a Belmont mount include Garrett Gomez, Edgar Prado, and John Velazquez.

In all seriousness, I'm sure in the end it will be Yutaka.

I heard a few days ago Gomez is replacing JR Leparoux on Macho Again in the Belmont. This is sickening; Leparoux got that dirtnap up for 2nd in the Preakness, and he gets replaced?? This is like when Jones took Pino off Hard Spun and put Gomez up, how'd that workout L J? I don't care who it is, you stick with your guys, especially when you're having success. I hope Macho Again runs last, karma baby. Dan Pope style.

owners lame reason is that GG "now" is full time at Belmont and knows all the nuances of the track....just another lame excuse to replace a rider who did nothing wrong but essentially win the Preakness if you can exclude BB

and that kid can ride too. the owner is a backstabber IMO. like i say, pope karma says he gets last... nothing against gg, he is great

Prado is on Casino Drive
Hmm. If Dutrow was pissed b/c edgar supposedly tried to box in BB in the preakness,he'll be really pissed if Prado denies him the tripple crown. Big if. I swear, I think Hard Spun would have been breathing down their neck if Mario had been aboard. Pace was slow, Hard Spun would have cruised with pleny left. GG fought to take him back off of a pedestrian pace. HS lost that fight and the race. Would have been the first in so many years to hit the board in all three jewels.

Here's my "winning" exotics for the Belmont. (OK, so it's not a done deal, but If I do hit, you heard it here first.
Super: 1,7/1,7,4/1,7,4,8/1,7,4,8,5 $16
Tri: 1,7/1,7,4/1,7,4,8 $8
ex: 1,7/1,7,4 $4
Win 7 $2
Total $30
If Big Brown wins, It should pay well, espcially if Casino drive doesn't hit the board.
If Tale of Ekati wins...... Can anyone say..... Early retirement!
I don't have any more info than the average handicapper, so I'm not responsible for anyone betting the farm on my picks, however, I did have Tale of Ekati and Denis of Cork in the derby(just not Big Brown and Eight Belles). Take it for what its worth, and good luck to with all your individual picks.
